Technical Assistant
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Technical Assistant to join the Reviewing and Peripatetic Social Work Team based at County Hall in Beverley.
The Reviewing Team are responsible for the reviews of people in the residential care across the East Riding. The role of the Technical Assistant is to undertake electronic allocations of these reviews and make appointments for staff with service users, families and providers. The Technical Assistant liaises with a wide range of professionals and service providers, therefore telephone manner and empathy is essential. The technical assistant will contribute to a robust governance and reporting system and any other associated IT tasks relating to this process including the correspondence of the reviews, indexing and supporting with the statistical reports.
Working to the Team Manager you will contribute to the delivery of efficient and effective performance monitoring including liaising with operational staff about data and recording issues.
You will need to show an aptitude for information related work, have an eye for detail, be a confident spreadsheet user and ideally have used a large corporate IT database such as a client record database. You will need to become conversant with the systems we currently use (Adult Information System, InPhase, Business Objects and develop an understanding of adult social care. You will have a common sense approach to working and be adaptable to the environment you are presented with.
The successful applicant will be instrumental in supporting the teams with the correct and efficient recording of information which supports performance reporting and analysis of data to identify trends. The post holder will support and educate the team in the implementation and coordination of any performance changes, assist colleagues in the use of the Adult Information System, attend meetings in relation to performance and recording systems and disseminate the information and good practices to the team. You will assist colleagues in using IT equipment and the integration of new systems.
You will be an excellent team worker who is able to organise your workload efficiently and effectively and work to deadlines. You will work with all the staff in the Reviewing Team to support them maintaining good data quality and accuracy within the client record system.
The role will give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills and knowledge in a friendly, welcoming yet challenging environment. Regular supervision and support will be provided as well as an induction into the role.
