A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Engineer within the Flood Risk Management Team, which forms part of the Civil Engineering Services section, based at County Hall, Beverley. You will be part of an engineering team which manages the delivery of a significant flood alleviation scheme capital and flood risk revenue programme of works, and is a statutory consultee to the planning process for surface water drainage and flood risk.
We seek a motivated person with a knowledge of the construction industry, ideally in the Flood Risk and surface water drainage discipline. You will also have a knowledge of drainage and flood risk standards, and an awareness of Project Management practices and principles.
You should hold a relevant construction related qualification and have some relevant post qualification civil engineering experience.
