We are seeking to recruit two full time Care Officers to join the Croft Residential Children’s home
The successful candidates will be child centred practitioners who understands the unique role residential care has in supporting our most vulnerable children to achieve their potential.

Inspectors found that “vulnerable children in the East Riding receive good quality, well co-ordinated support that safeguards them well and improves their lives”. We are continuing our commitment to further improve our services supported by the Council with increased investment and we are strengthening our capacity to deliver high quality services. Children’s Social Care and Corporate Parenting services have also been recently awarded Partner in Practice status and are embarking on a period of creative service development and delivery including exciting Edge of Care support.
The Croft Children’s Home is currently rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted – February 2019.
Vacancy Details:
This role of the Care Officer in the Children’s Home is crucial in supporting and nurturing our looked after children.
You will be passionate about ensuring our most vulnerable children are supported to achieve their full potential. You will be an innovative and creative child centred practitioner who is capable of becoming part of a team working with teenagers aged 14yrs to 17yrs in a residential Looked After setting. This includes ensuring the day to day welfare and care of young people who may show challenging behaviour. The post will be on a rota basis including weekend work and sleep in duties. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children or young people
The successful candidates will have QCF level 3 or equivalent or be willing to work towards it.
