East Riding of Yorkshire Council has an exciting opportunity for an extremely hard working and highly-motivated individual that thrives in a fast paced environment.
To lead our Tourism Events and Projects team, you must have an extremely high level of organisation and interpersonal skills with experience in events and project management. You will need to be experienced in managing budgets with an ability to manage and execute multiple events and projects simultaneously in pressure situations.
Responsibilities will include overseeing the organisation, delivery, support and promotion of a large range of tourism events and projects that increase visitor spend within East Yorkshire. The role will support the Tourism Manager in developing tourism product for East Yorkshire and maximising economic benefits, whilst ensuring return on investment.
You will be expected to have the ability to work on your own initiative, be able to meet tight deadlines and be innovative in your work. It is essential that you are a leader with an ability to motivate and also a team player who can build relationships with a wide range of colleagues and partners.
This is a permanent, full time role which on occasions includes working unsociable hours and involves manual handling. The role will be based in Beverley, but the post holder will be required to regularly attend meetings and events around the East Riding and Hull.
