We are looking for dedicated, organised and committed staff members to join the Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the role of education, health and care commissioning officers (EHCO).
There is 1 full time permanent post available, 1 part time permanent post and 1 full time fixed term maternity cover role for 12 months.
You will join a busy, fast paced team to facilitate person-centred planning meetings for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across the 0-25 year old age range, ensuring children, young people and their families are at the centre of assessment and planning processes by facilitating the co-production of Education, Health and Care (EHC) Assessments and Plans with and for children / young people with SEND.
You will also be required to coordinate the delivery of relevant services / provision to ensure effective and timely delivery of the EHC process and EHC plans; working with relevant professionals in education, health and social care services, and other relevant disciplines, to ensure their knowledge, experience, skills and relevant assessments inform the EHC Plans.
You will have a degree or equivalent, preferably in a related field, and have experience of working with children, young people with SEND and their families. You will have experience of working with families in relation to difficult / sensitive issues.
You will start with the SEN Team at Grade 9, however once completing the probationary period and satisfying progression criteria, there is the opportunity to move to Grade 10.
